We can live with the Tesco Party Phone, we just wouldn’t choose to

 

Recently Tesco sent us its Party Phone, a handset designed to be used as a backup phone. You might be going to a festival, for example, and not want to take your expensive smart phone – enter the Party Phone. It’s a very simple phone that only does calls and texts. According to Tesco, it has sold over 10,000 VX1 Party Phones, making it one of its best-selling handsets. Considering how successful it’s been, we wanted to see what it was like to live with such a simple phone, so we traded in our smartphones and used it solidly for a week.
