Want to see the latest Lamborghini Gallardo? Of course you do. The newly facelifted 2013 Gallardo LP 560-4, which has been shown off at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, boasts a number of cosmetic tweaks to both the coupe and spider editions — none of which you’ll recognise straight away.
Look closely, however, and you’ll find re-styled front air intakes. Instead of enormous pentagons below the headlamps we now get a pair of triangles — one sat on top of the other. The central bumper area, once body-coloured, is now all black, giving it a more menacing ‘i’ll-swallow-your-poodle’-type look.
The rear quarters have been sharpened up, too. Lamborghini has thrown in a couple of diagonal lines below the rear lights and added a couple of strakes to the rear diffuser. What was once a quite understated area now looks quite busy, but the overall effect is a positive one.
The Gallardo’s wheels get a bit of Batmaning. Users can now buy the car with a set of matt black 19-inch alloys.
Lamborghini will offer the car with a new Style Package, which adds a gloss black finish to the underside of the front spoiler, and front and rear grilles. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, the company is also building a new Edizione Tecnica specification for the high-spec LP 570-4 Superlegerra and Spyder Performante models, which provides a new fixed rear wing, carbon ceramic brakes and different colour combinations.
The 2013 Gallardo LP 560-4 and Edizione Tecnica will be available to drive home from November.
