Arrinera super car confirmed, pictures suggest cheap Lamborghini alternative

Poland has brought us many things: Pope John Paul II, kielbasa and cheap labourers, most notably. But it’s never to our knowledge brought the world a supercar. Warsaw-based Arrinera will soon change that, however. The company has confirmed it is now taking orders for its unnamed supercar.

The vehicle, which was announced in concept form in early 2011, is an attractive proposition. Aesthetically, it looks like what you’d get if every Lamborghini that ever existed was involved in the same, beautiful, multi-car pile-up. It’s chaeaper than a Lambo, too — Arrinera is only asking for £100,000, which is around £50,000 less than you’d pay for a Gallardo.

Arrinera confirmed the car will use the same LS9 engine found in the Corvette ZR1, but has tuned it to produce even more power. Here, the supercharged 6.2-litre V8 produces 650hp and 604lb-ft of torque, which promises acceleration of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 211mph. It should complete a quarter mile sprint in just 11 seconds.

Inside, the car gets luxuries such as air conditioning and a stereo. It’ll also feature a thermal camera package for night vision (don’t worry, you also get headlights) and reinforced roll bars to prevent it crushing you to death in the event of a roll.

Obviously, we’ve no idea how well the car will drive, but it ticks a fair few boxes in its recipe for good handling. The car is made of carbon fibre and Kevlar composite materials, so it’s lightweight (2,900lbs) and its independent, multi-link suspension was optimised by none other than Lee Noble — founder of Noble automotive.

Arrinera is now taking orders for the car and expects deliveries to begin later this year. Scroll down to take a look pictures of the thing and let us know how what you think in the comments below, or on our Facebook wall/timeline/page/thing.

The car, which doesn't have a name, is made of carbon fibre and Kevlar.

It's yours for only £100,000.

The car will come with an optional night vision system.

Subtle, eh?
