Motorist trapped after body lands on roof of car

A motorist was on his way home from work when a body suddenly fell on the roof of his car, trapping him for 30 minutes. The incident happened in George Town, Malaysia. The impact caved the car’s roof in and shattered its windows.

Firemen managed to extricate the driver at about 6:30pm on Wednesday and he was rushed to Penang Hospital.

The deceased was identified as Liew Kam Ming, 49, from the Klang Valley. He is believed to have fallen from the 24th floor of a flat at Macullum Street Ghaut of George Town. Several flat residents said they had never seen Liew before.

Timur Laut police chief ACP Gan Kong Meng said Liew was found in a pool of blood whilst his right leg was almost severed after falling. Gan said the body was later sent to the Penang Hospital’s Forensic Department for post-mortem. He said that “we are tracing the family of Liew.”
