New Chrysler 300C UK pricing confirmed

Chrysler’s new 300C executive saloon is headed for the UK and will be priced at £35,995, which is great news for anyone looking for a luxury saloon that isn’t German.

The new 300C looks mean and is keenly priced.

The car, which will rival a Mercedes-Benz S class for size and a BMW 5 series for price, has a lot going for it, on paper. It comes with a healthy array of standard equipment — even on entry-level models.

Chrysler says the bog standard 300C Limited will sell for £35,995. It’ll include heated front and rear seats and load levelling suspension and height control so it doesn’t list like the Titanic if someone fat sits in it. It’ll also come with LED daytime running lamps, electronic stability control, hill start assist, active head restrains, plus curtain, side, front and rear airbags.

The top-spec 300C Executive model will set you back £39,995. That car ships with all the gubbins you get on the Limited, but also includes adaptive cruise control, so you can tail the car in front without use of the accelerator or brake. It also comes with blind spot monitoring, a forward collision warning that nags you if you’re about to crash, keyless entry, a powered rear sunshade for extra privacy and heated and ventilated full-grain Nappa leather seats made from the finest sheep (none of this cow nonsense here).

Interior equipment seems generous, too. The 300C includes an 8.4-inch touchscreen, which Chrysler says is the largest standard colour touchscreen display in its class. It also has a whopping great big sunroof — again, the biggest in its sector.

Power on the entry-level model comes courtesy of a 3-litre V6 diesel engine that chucks out 236bhp and 540Nm of torque. It’s good for 39.8mpg and between 185-191g/km of CO2 emissions depending on the size of wheel you’ve slapped on it.

We’ll be testing the new 300C shortly, so make sure you stick close by for a full review in the very near future.
