Nissan has announced a new addition to the popular Qashqai range known as the 360. Replacing the outgoing n-tec+, the 360 promises more equipment and better value for money.
As the name suggests, the Qashqai 360 crossover comes equipped with the Nissan Connect 360-degree Around View Monitor system as standard. Four cameras located at the front, rear and on both sides display your surroundings in a top-down ‘helicopter view’, making it much harder to misjudge the size of a space when parking. The system also includes a built-in sat-nav for route planning and Bluetooth connectivity for using your phone more safely while driving.
Also inherited as standard from the n-tec+ model is a panoramic roof, eye-catching 18-inch ‘Onyx’ alloys and rear privacy glass. You also get part-leather trim with fancy double-white stitching, gloss black door handles, roof rails and gear shift surround, leather covered armrests, aluminium pedals and a number of 360 badges located on the exterior. Throw in an extra £500 and a new Storm White paintjob is available, too.
Usefully, Nissan is offering a choice of all engines with the 360, including the powerful and fuel efficient 1.6dCi diesel.
Nissan claims the n-tec+ model, which sits between the budget Tekna and the top-end Acenta trim levels, represented 60 per cent of all Qashai sales in the UK. That model alone outsold the entire Ford Mondeo range, so the 360 has quite large shoes to fill.
The 5-door, 5-speed 1.6 petrol Qashqai 360 can be yours for £19,945, while the economical 1.6dCi diesel with Stop/Start technology goes for £23,145 or £24,695, depending on whether you want four-wheel drive. The range-topping 2.0-litre dCi 6-speed automatic with four-wheel drive comes in at £25,895.
If you favour the extra seats offered by the +2 model, expect to part with at least £21,095 rising to £27,095 for the aforementioned 2-litre dCi model.
