Vauxhall Mokka X is an £18,000 compact SUV

Vauxhall has revealed full specs and a price for the Mokka X, which will be available to buy from showrooms from October 2016 in the UK.

There are plenty of engines to choose from for the latest version of Vauxhall’s small sports utility vehicle (SUV), including an entry-level 1.6-litre petrol with stop and start technology and CO2 emissions of 155g/km.

There’s also a 1.4-litre Direct Injection Turbo petrol with 153PS that can go from 0-60mph in 9.4 seconds before topping out at 120mph and a 1.6-litre CDTI ecoFlex with 110PS, 102g/km of CO2 a claimed 72.4mpg. Buyers will have a choice of two or all-wheel drive.

Four trim levels are available, ranging from the entry-level Active to Design Nav, Elite and the range-topping Elite Nav. Design Nav models get 18-inch alloy wheels, an eight-inch touchscreen, front fog lights, silver roof rails and Vauxhall’s IntelliLink infotainment system.

Meanwhile Elite Nav comes with the most bells and whistles including a full leather interior, heated front seats, heated steering wheel and tinted rear windows for a touch more privacy for those in the back.

The Mokka X, previously known as the Mokka, benefits from exterior aesthetic revisions including new LED headlights and a new grille, the aforementioned 1.4-litre petrol (seen first in the Astra) and Vauxhall’s OnStar connectivity system for connecting smart devices.

Prices start from £17,590 for a 1.6-litre 115PS S/S rising to £26,765 for the manual 1.6CDTi S/S 136PS with all-wheel drive.
