Before Lamborghini made expensive poster supercars, it built tractors. Now a somewhat bizarre video has surfaced of the Italian brand harkening back to its farming roots.
The Lamborghini Murcielago in the video (or should we say, the Lamb-orghini) can be seen cruising along in what is reported to be New South Wales in Australia. It was captured by YouTube user Joseph Criniti.
At first it seems like the box trailer is empty, but keep watching and you eventually see the Murcielago’s current payload, which is a few goats. Obviously. The owner seems oblivious to what is going on and it is unclear why he felt a supercar was the go-to vehicle.
To be fair to the owner, the farm creatures seem to be having a whale of a time and the Murcielago has more than enough goat, sorry, horsepower to pull them along. Even so, the idea of a Lambo with a tow bar is sacrilege.
The icing on this particularly odd slice of Internet video cake is the use of 90s rap metal group Limp Bizkit’s Rollin (the song was from 2004 but the band formed in 1995, okay!), which is both oddly fitting and highly sweary. Sensitive ears, you have been warned.
Lamborghini produced the Murcielago between 2001 and 2010 and it was the successor to the Diablo and replaced by the Aventador, which is still on sale. In its earlier models, the 6.5-litre V12 pumped out 572hp and 479lb/ft of torque.
