Watch the Ferrari FXX K hypercar in action

Many of us will never have the money needed to drive a hypercar like the Ferrari FXX K, so you’ll just have to settle for a YouTube video of the 1,035bhp monster in action.

The video – posted by YouTube user NM2255 – shows a number of Ferrari FXX K hypercars spanking it around the Mugello Circuit in Italy, giving you a hint as to how potent the car really is and what carbon ceramics look like when red hot.

Like the standard 950bhp LaFerrari, the FXX K it is based on is a hybrid. A V12 petrol engine and an electric motor combine to make 1,035bhp and 664lb/ft of torque, giving it a 0-62mph time of around two seconds and a top speed of beyond 210mph.

Much of the increase in power stems from various engine upgrades including new camshafts, new intake manifolds and four modes for the electric motor, including ‘Qualify’, which maximises short-burst performance.

The external changes are easy to see, including the sporty livery, more aggressive bodystyling for dramatically improving aerodynamics and, best of all, a rear spoiler that looks like devil horns.

The FXX K is Ferrari’s answer to the McLaren P1 GTR, a souped-up, track-focussed version of the P1 hypercar. Such is the desire to make it a track weapon, it is unable to be driven on UK roads so you would need a trailer to take it from your house (or is that a mansion?) to a circuit.

To be fair, it’s so absurdly fast and rare we think it’s probably best kept away from public roads anyway, as this LaFerrari owner found out the hard way.

Clients with deep pockets can experience the FXX K and driver training as part of the package, which is likely to cost at least a million. Watch the video, if only because you will never ever see one on the road.
