Channel 5’s catch-up service Demand 5 is to launch an app for Sony smart TVs.
The app will be available on on all 2012 and 2013 models of Sony Smart TVs.
The launch of the app on the TVs comes after the appearance of the catch-up service on both Xbox One and PS4 just a couple of months ago.
The app was produced by Massive Interactive, which has been working with the broadcaster a number of years on its Demand 5 roadmap for bringing its services to a range of devices.

James Tatam, digital media director for Channel 5, said: “We’re delighted to launch Demand 5 onto the latest generation of Sony smart TVs, marking another milestone in our strategy to widen the availability of some of the UK’s favourite shows to as many viewers as possible.”
The on-demand service is also available on the YouView, Freesat, Samsung, LG, Now TV and PS3 platforms.
