If you haven’t heard, Samsung’s Gear VR headset is leading the way in the world of mobile virtual reality and it keeps getting better and better. The high-end accessory was created out of a partnership between Samsung and VR masters, Oculus – responsible for one of the first consumer-ready VR systems, the Rift.
The developer version of the Gear VR actually launched alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 back at IFA 2014, but the consumer version is smaller, sleeker and supports a larger number of devices. Unlike Google Cardboard, which will take pretty much any smartphone, the experience offered up by the Gear VR has been specially tailored to a small group of Samsung’s top Galaxy handsets, starting with last year’s Galaxy S6, right up to the new Galaxy S7 Edge (it also supports the S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, Note 5 and S7).

The developer community have built a wealth of great apps and games; with titles from loved publishers like UsTwo Games, amazingly unique experiences like Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes and even offerings from the likes of Netflix and Universal Pictures.
