LG G2 Mini confirmed for MWC

A compact version of the excellent LG G2 mobile is set to be revealed at MWC 2014.

We love the feature-packed LG G2 smartphone, and now LG has revealed on Facebook that a mini version is on its way, to be unleashed at MWC 2014 on February 24. The new LG G2 Mini, rumoured to be 4.3-inches, was outed in the below photo from LG. We’re not entirely sure what the pink highlights are all about, but we’re hoping the G2 Mini comes in a range of colours, unlike the rather austere original.

Some rumoured specs have already bounced around the interwebs, suggesting the 4.3-inch LG G2 Mini will use a cut-down 960×540 pixel resolution, and a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor backed up by 2GB of RAM. Expect Android 4.4 KitKat to be tweaked with all sorts of LG special features, including the usual excellent multi-tasking. The ability to fade video into the background while you get on with other tasks should be especially useful on the more compact screen, where it’s difficult to line up apps side-by-side.

Check back on Monday February 24 for the launch news, and we’ll be bringing you a full hands-on review and video live from MWC 2014.
