O2 gifts goals galore to 4G customers

Sign up to a 4G O2 tariff and you’ll get free Sun+ access, including Sun+ Goals for near-live video clips of Premier League matches

O2 has partnered up with The Sun to give 4G-toting footy fans a real treat: full access to Sun+, including the Sun+ Goals service, at no extra cost. Sun+, which usually costs £8 a month, offers up video highlights of every Premier League and FA Cup match almost as soon as they happen. You can also check out highlights of the Scottish Premier League, great news for our deep-fried-treat-loving fans over the border.

O2 offer free football highlights to 4G customers

Customers signing up for the 5GB O2 4G Refresh tariff, which costs £22 a month, will get six months of Sun+ access for free. If you’re feeling a bit more plush and bag the 8GB tariff at £27 a month, you’ll get twelve months for free. The Sun+ subscription also gives you access to The Sun’s full website content, plus its apps.

This offering from O2 seems to be a shot back at Vodafone, who currently offers a subscription to Sky Sports Mobile as part of its 4G package. It’s great news for lovers of the sport, who can make full use of that nippy 4G service to see their team in action each week – great news unless you’re a Sunderland fan like us…
