Samsung Galaxy Fame coming to Three

Three has confirmed it will be selling the Samsung Galaxy Fame, one of two new mid-range additions to Samsung’s smartphone range.

The Samsung Galaxy Fame was announced along with the Samsung Galaxy Young and is the higher-spec’d version of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean equipped pair. 

Sylvia Chind, Head of Devices at Three said, “The Samsung Galaxy Fame is a welcome addition to Three. Complemented by our award winning network, browsing the internet, using apps like YouTube or sharing music, photos and videos on the go, this innovative smartphone fits your needs perfectly.”

Inside there’s a 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory and an NFC chip for contactless payments. The phone has a 3.5-inch screen with a 320×480 resolution, on the back there’s a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and there’s a front-facing VGA camera.

There’s no news yet on when the phone will launch. Three states the Samsung Galaxy Fame is ‘coming soon’ and Samsung has confirmed it will be available in March, so we’re expecting full release information very soon. We’ll keep this page updated with information on the Samsung Galaxy Fame’s pricing and availability on other UK networks.
