Samsung’s Galaxy S5 to launch at MWC next month

A tweet from an industry insider further boosts rumours that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will launch at MWC 2014 in Barcelona next month

The tweet from Eldar Murtazin, editor of Mobile Review, claims that Samsung’s latest handset will indeed be revealed at Mobile World Congress – or to be precise, at 6pm local time on February 23. That means 5pm UK GMT time.

The tweet also hints that the Galaxy S5’s specs will be exactly as expected. Check out our full Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours round-up to see what this new flagship should come packing.

Finally, and not unsurprisingly, Samsung should apparently be revealing a brand new version of TouchWiz. The colourful interface, which sits atop Android, is often criticised for being rather dense. It’ll be interesting to see if Samsung has streamlined the TouchWiz design, for a more simple, satisfying experience, although we’re expecting a bevy of features as usual.
