The Sony Ericsson W715 is a smart compact slider phone, part of Sony Ericsson’s W range of Walkman phones. As such, music playback is the main focus of the handset; the central menu keys double as music controls and Sony Ericsson’s patented Clear Stereo and Clear Bass technologies promise top quality audio playback. You can even control the music by simply moving the handset around, thanks to shake control. Although we’re disappointed that the W715 comes with the proprietary FastPort connection rather than a 3.5mm headphone jack so you can use your own headphones, it does come bundled with a ‘premium headset’ which promises superior sound to the cheaper headsets that tend to come with phones.
Other features of the Sony Ericsson W715 include Wi-Fi for web-browsing, GPS and an onboard YouTube app. The handset comes with a 3-megapixel camera which shoots both still images and video.
