The Sony Xperia Z is getting closer to launch, Vodafone and Phones 4U have all opened pre-orders and as an added incentive early birds will get a pair of Sony’s MDR-R1 headphones when they pre-order.
Indeed the first 1000 pre-orders at Vodafone and in-store at Phones 4U will get a free set of these pricey cans (RRP £299) along with their shiny new smartphone. Carphone Warhouse is offering the same incentive.
We can’t help but be excited by Sony’s newly announced Sony Xperia Z. It brings a few firsts to the brand including: first quad-core smartphone, first device to run Android Jelly Bean out-the-box and first handset to sport a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display.
We’ve already been lucky enough to have some hands-on time with the Sony Xperia Z and fit and finish appears to be paramount in it’s design. Sony’s design language as a whole has progressed wonderfully from the Sony Xperia T which held the flagship role for the latter part of 2012.
