Sony looks set to unleash a cut-price Xperia with similar specs to the awesome-value Motorola Moto G
Earlier this week details of two new Samsung handsets appeared on a benchmarking website, and now the same has happened with Sony. We only know a handful of details about the catchily-codenamed ‘D5103’, but it looks like a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor running at 1.4GHz should provide solid budget performance, similar to Motorola’s Moto G.
Sony’s new cut-price Xperia also features the same resolution, at 1280 x 720, and will come packing Android 4.4 KitKat too.
Chances are good that Sony will unveil this new budget blower at MWC 2014, on the morning of Monday February 24. We’re hoping it comes with a sub-£150 price tag like the Moto G, which offers tremendous value for money.
Sony should also launch the new premium Xperia Z2 smartphone at the same time, and we’ll be bringing you full coverage of those phones and any other Sony goodness from MWC.
