UK network The People’s Operator offers ridiculously cheap 4G tariffs

The People’s Operator (TPO) is challenging pricey SIM-only tariffs from other UK networks with its first 4G contract, offering 2GB of data for just £6.99 a month.

TPO, a UK mobile network founded in 2012 and piggybacking on EE, has finally made the jump to 4G and is celebrating with a seriously good SIM-only deal. Just £6.99 a month bags you 2GB of data, plus 600 minutes and unlimited texts, on a 30-day rolling contract.

With this impressive offer, TPO is steamrollering its way into the affordable 4G market, currently championed by Carphone Warehouse’s own iD Network. By comparison, iD offers just 1GB of data, as well as 500 minutes and 5000 texts, for the same price (also on a 30-day rolling SIM-only contract).

TPO has charity at its heart, so customers signing up for the new 4G SIM-only plan will be able to name a good cause of their choice. Ten percent of their monthly fee will then be automatically donated to that charity, so you can feel extra squiffy inside as you stream cat videos to your phone.

At the moment this is TPO’s only 4G SIM-only deal, but more tariffs will be announced in July 2016. Please note that this deal is only offered to new TPO customers, and existing customers will have to wait for the new tariffs to be revealed in summer before making the leap to 4G.
