Three network users get a 4G happy Friday feeling

Are you on Three? Did you notice those glorious three letters, LTE, appear on your mobile this morning?

We were slumped on our usual London commuter train this morning, browsing the web for photos of cats dressed up as clowns, when our hearts suddenly skipped with joy. There, in the top right corner, we saw the letters LTE had unexpectedly appeared beside the battery bar. We were on mother-flipping 4G, and the kitty pics were coming faster than we could go ‘awwww’.

4G appears in London on Three

The signal only lasted for a minute, while we sat outside Waterloo station, but a quick glance on Twitter shows lots of other Three users in London reporting the same joy. We want to hear from Three users who have just unexpectedly jumped onto LTE, and where they were at the time, so please leave a comment below if you’re one of the lucky ones.

Three expanded its 4G outreach yesterday to a number of towns, including Hartlepool, Motherwell, Torquay and Widnes. A bunch of airports also got the service, including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, City, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool John Lennon and Bristol.
