Nissan Qashqai price and final specs revealed

Nissan has revealed full UK specifications and the price you will have to pay if you fancy a new, 2014 Nissan Qashqai compact crossover.

Four trim levels – Visia, Acenta, Accenta Premium and Tekna – will be available, with Visia coming in as the cheapest option and Tekna as the most expensive.

Standard options on the Visia model, which starts at £17,995, include a 5-inch infotainment display, Chassis Control, tyre pressure monitoring, cruise control/speed limiter control, hill-start assist and automatic air-conditioning.

The Acenta starts at £19,145. For that you can expect dual-zone automatic air-conditioning, leather on the gear knob and steering wheel, 17-inch alloys, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and front fog lamps.

Both the Acenta and Visia can benefit from the Smart Vision Pack. This adds Front Collision Avoidance, Driver Attention Support and Traffic Sign Recognition, all for £450.

Spend from £20,995 and the Acenta Premium adds a digital DAB radio and the NissanConnect infotainment system into the mix, as well as a rear view camera, parking sensors, Start Push Button, Front Collision Avoidance, High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning and a panoramic glass roof.

At the top of the range is the £23,145 Tekna model, which benefits from heated seats partly made from leather, 19-inch alloys, roof rails, front and rear parking sensors, NissanConnect, DAB digital radio, Around View Monitor 360-degree-parking cameras, Bi-LED headlights, High Beam Assist and a large glass roof.

Four engines will be available including a 1.2 DIG-T petrol that develops 113bhp and 190Nm of torque while producing CO2 emissions of 129g/km. Fuel economy is rated at 50.4mpg. The most eco-friendly offering is the 1.5dCi diesel, which achieves 74.3mpg and just 99g/km of CO2.

The top of the range 1.6dCi, which is somewhat less efficient than the 1.5dCi but still fairly light on the wallet, can come in a four wheel drive flavour although this takes the starting price up to a sizable £27,845.

The new Nissan Qashqai is 49mm longer, 20mm wider and 15mm lower than its predecessor. New features include ambient lighting and a boot that’s 20 litres larger, taking the total size to 430 litres.
