Top Gear presenters revealed: Rory Reid joins Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc

Recombu Cars editor-in-chief Rory Reid will join Chris Evans, Matt Le Blanc and five other presenters as part of the new Top Gear show.

The BBC has officially announced the full presenter line-up will be Evans, LeBlanc, Eddie Jordan, Sabine Schmitz, Rory Reid, Chris Harris and The Stig for series 23. Evans announced the news on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show and then tweeted the news.

Matt LeBlanc is most famous for his role as Joey Tribbiani on the NBC hit sitcom Friends. Chris Harris is a motoring journalist who made his name driving supercars for /Drive and then his own YouTube channel, ‘Chris Harris on Cars’.

Eddie Jordan was a racing driver who later started his own Formula One team – Jordan Racing – before becoming a BBC F1 pundit. Sabine Schmitz, meanwhile, rose to UK fame after taking a Ford Transit van around the Nurburgring in just over ten minutes on Top Gear.

Who’s Rory Reid? Well, he’s none other than the Recombu and Recombu Cars editor-in-chief. He once presented the Sky tech show Gadget Geeks before moving onto the YouTube channel Fast, Furious & Funny. The father-of-two applied for Top Gear as part of its public auditions.

The Stig has also been confirmed, completing what Evans calls ‘the magnificent seven’.

Evans took over the new Top Gear, as part of a three-year contract, after Clarkson punched a producer.

Fans of Rory Reid’s Recombu Cars videos will be pleased to know he will continue to review cars but not the ones he will be covering for Top Gear.
